Premier Wind was established in 2018 by Randall Hixson and his wife, Carla, to bring sustainable, renewable, and secure resources to the people of Oklahoma.

According to the Department of Energy and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), “the leading cause of electric transmission outages in Oklahoma is Severe Weather – Ice Storm. Oklahoma experienced 8 electric transmission outages from 1992 to 2009, affecting a total of 1,090,663 electric customers. Severe Weather – Ice Storm affected the largest number of electric customers as a result of electric transmission outages.”
